La Coccinella is an organic olive farm located in the Unesco Natural Park of Monte Peglia in the municipality of San Venanzo, Umbria.
The estate is 96 acres and consists of woods, fields and several olive groves. On our property there are about 1500 olive trees spread over 8 acres.
Our olive farm is located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because of this circumstance we decided to produce a 100% natural extra virgin olive oil, obtained from a completely natural agricolture.
The result is a superior quality extra virgin olive oil, rich in polyphenols, plant squalenes, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
An oil with a full flavor, fresh, refined, velvety and fruity, with a good component of spicy and bitter (typical of oils of excellent quality), with hints of almond, artichoke, tomato and aromatic herbs.
The oil is obtained through a cold production method (cold grinding), this technique provides a production method that can improve the quality, sensory and organoleptic characteristics of large extra virgin olive oil, also it preserves all the nutritional values that benefit our health.
Our olive trees are fertilized with natural products and picked by hand
By adopting an olive tree, you are helping us to farm in an ecologically responsible way each year and to preserve Italy’s characteristic landscape.
Your tree will be provided with a name tag making it easy to recognize your own tree on our property. In addition, we will regularly update you on the process from pruning and tilling the land, to harvesting and cold pressing.
This way you know perfectly where your olive oil comes from, and that it has been crafted with passion.
